Wonderful Wednesday

What is a hypothesis? Why are they important when working through Science?

Today Kindergarten were working on their ‘I wonder’ questions and they wondered how a volcano works. They learnt about the different types of volcanos and decided to try and make their own.

Seeing the excitement on their faces when their hypothesis was correct, was wonderful to see.

Learning is hands on, it’s fun and it’s constantly having questions asked and answered.

How can you help your child with hypothesising? Asking them questions that don’t have an obvious yes or no answer helps.

Allowing them to wonder about their surrounding world is a great way to create a life long learner.
